Application Process for New Members

A sponsor may request a Membership Application Package from the Membership Chairperson or the sponsor may download the package from the Members Only section of the website.

The Membership Application Package shall include the Application, ABC Constitution and By-Laws, ABC Code of Ethics, First Sponsor Transmittal Letter, First Sponsor Questionnaire, Second Sponsor Transmittal Letter and Second Sponsor Questionnaire. The First Sponsor shall then forward the Application, ABC Constitution and By-Laws and ABC Code of Ethics to the Applicant and the Second Sponsor Transmittal Letter and Second Sponsor Questionnaire to the Second Sponsor.

After completing the Membership Application form, the Applicant will return it to both Sponsors for their signatures. The First Sponsor will forward the completed application form together with completed sponsorship questionnaires, payment or proof of payment and the applicable registrations in one legible packet back to the Membership Chairperson via mail or email to be received not later than December 31st.

Payment may be made by check in US funds or through PayPal in US funds. If paying though PayPal, proof of payment must accompany the application. PayPal payments should be made to

Because Sponsors may download the membership application package from the website at any time, it is up to the Sponsors to make sure they are not sponsoring more than 2 applicants a year. If an application is submitted to the Membership Chairperson and it is determined that the Membership Chairperson has already received 2 applications with that Sponsor for that year, the next application received for that year with the same Sponsor will be returned to the Applicant.

Completed application packages received will be reviewed and verified through the Membership Committee. Applicants and Sponsors are encouraged to remit their completed membership application packages well in advance of the December 31st date as delays in the review and verification process could result in the application being processed in the next calendar year. Sponsors are reminded that they must be an ABC member for at least 2 years at the time of application in order to be eligible to sponsor an applicant. Submission of a completed application package does not mean acceptance of the application.
